What does the idea, "ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL" mean in your opinion?
Platt describes that Americans have shifted the idea that "all men are created equal" from individual equality to equality of ideas. Do you agree that this has happened?
After reading Romans 1-3 &10, what is your level of agreement with each of the TRUTHS provided by Platt and what are your thoughts.
I think this has definitely happened in the Northeast. There's the social pressure to be accepting of anyone's ideas and an attitude that one shouldn't be too vocal about "personal" ideas. I was particularly impressed by Platt's presentation in a college classroom about Christianity. These pressures are everywhere, particularly in the public education sector. I know Evan as a teacher is under particular scrutiny. I was challenged by Platt's boldness in sharing.
